Taking inspiration from Philip Pullman’s His Dark Materials trilogy, this reading nook was conceived to transport occupants to a whimsical parallel universe. An organically shaped brass barrier separates the nook from the more formal reality of the larger study, while a sunk-in day bed beckons visitors to read, relax, and escape to a world of lush greens and soft velvets.
